What is SiteCargo

SiteCargo gives your existing business a way to try its own mobile app for iOS and Android, without hiring a separate development team or committing to a large development budget.

It does not create a new business for you or replace your website. You start with the website you already run. Your website remains the main source of content and business logic. SiteCargo adds a mobile app shell, native navigation, push notifications, analytics, and an app store publication workflow.

You do not need to move your catalog, account area, or forms to a separate system. Changes you make to your website become available in the app without releasing a new version.

What your website continues to handle

SiteCargo does not replace your CMS, online store, or account area. Your website continues to handle:

  • products, prices, and stock levels;
  • the shopping cart and checkout;
  • user authentication;
  • website payments;
  • forms and requests;
  • server-side business logic;
  • page content.

When you need a new release

Changes to website content usually do not require an app store update. You may need a new release if you change native features, the app icon, settings that affect the build, or materials the store keeps separately.

For the update process, see Releasing updates.

Who owns the app

You choose a publication option before the first release:

  • your company's accounts — the app stays in your Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts;
  • SiteCargo's accounts — the SiteCargo team handles publication and ongoing support.

Your choice affects pricing, the access you need to provide, and how the app is managed after publication.
