Google Play service account
A service account is SiteCargo's technical account for the Google Play Developer API. You invite it by email in Play Console, and SiteCargo uses it to verify access and automate publication operations.
What you need to do
- Grant Play Console permissions to the email shown in your SiteCargo dashboard.
- Enter the Developer Account ID so SiteCargo can check the correct account.
See the connection instructions for the steps.
You do not need to create or share your own JSON key, Google password, or OAuth token. The service account key is stored on the SiteCargo server. The saved app details include the email, Developer Account ID, status, detected permissions, and check time.
How this differs from Firebase
This account handles Google Play publication. Firebase Cloud Messaging is used for push notifications. Configuring one integration does not replace the other.
