Giving SiteCargo access to App Store Connect

In SiteCargo, open Distribution → Apple App Store → connection instructions. The default is “SiteCargo will set it up (recommended)”. Select your Apple Developer membership type: Organization or Individual.

  1. Click “Copy email” in SiteCargo. The usual address is publish@sitecargo.com.
  2. Sign in to App Store Connect and select the correct team.
  3. Open Users and Access → People → +.
  4. Enter the SiteCargo specialist's name and copied email.
  5. Select Admin and click Invite. Admin has access to all apps in the account.
  6. If API access has not been requested, the owner opens Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API → Request Access, accepts the terms, and clicks Submit. Skip this if already enabled. Apple decides whether to approve the request; our Admin can create a Team API Key once approved.
  7. Return to SiteCargo, select “I sent the invitation with Admin permissions”, and click “Save and Check”. “Close” and “Save and Check” remain at the bottom while content scrolls.

Organization: our team prepares signing for both targets, APNs, and upload authorization. Customers do not enter technical IDs or upload files.

Individual: Admin receives App Store Connect access only. The owner creates the certificate, App IDs, two profiles, and APNs key. After accepting the invitation, our team confirms which files are needed. Use “Upload required Individual files” and the detailed guide. SiteCargo already assigns the Bundle ID: copy it for profiles; customers do not edit it.

Manual setup with limited permissions

Choose “I will set it up with limited permissions”. Invite App Manager and select the relevant app where restrictions are available. For Organization, also enable Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles; the owner or Admin creates the APNs key. Enter the technical details following the full guide. Changing the SiteCargo switch does not change Apple roles: edit permissions separately in Users and Access.

After sending

“Invitation sent” records your request. It does not yet confirm acceptance, file readiness, or the ability to build. Our specialist accepts the invitation and checks access; signing, upload, and APNs readiness are recorded separately.

The invitation lasts three days. Send it again if expired. If the team has not received access, check the email, role, and selected team. Your main Apple password and 2FA code are not needed. The owner handles agreements and membership renewal.
